REISSNER: Vera Irene. A resident of Chatham Township, Vera Reissner passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the age of 83. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Clarence and Annie (Bellamy) Holmes. Beloved wife of the late Carrel Reissner (2003). Dear mother of Bruce and Nancy Reissner of Chatham, and Barbara and John Jordan of R.R.#6 Chatham. Devoted grandmother of Leigh-Anne Lowes and her husband Robert of Cambridge, and Sean Jordan of Budapest. Great-grandmother of Austin and Ryan Lowes. Sister of the late Ella Reissner and Alma Clogg. Mrs. Reissner was a former member of Chalmers United Church and current member of St. Andrew's United Church. She was also a past member of the U.C.W. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Michael Brooks of St. Andrew's United Church officiating. Interment in Arnold Cemetery, Chatham Township.
