MARRIOTT: James Eldon (Pete). A resident of Ridgetown, James Eldon (Pete) Marriott passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Monday, March 17, 2008 at the age of 45. Born in Chatham, son of the late Eldon (Ed) and Jeanne (Robbins) Marriott. Beloved husband of Ruth Martin. Dear step-father of Ashley Marie Martin and Britany Lynn Martin. Brother of Lynda and Tony Losonsky of Chatham, Gayle and Murray VanHooste of Thamesville, Janice and Art Pumfrey of Kent Bridge, Kathryn and Kenneth Triebner of Exeter, Bruce Marriott and Betty Gordon of Chatham, Judy and Marvin Brewster of Thorold, Joan and Mike Moody of Chatham, Anne and Eric Cormier of Sutton, and Brian Marriott of Chatham. Also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 1 niece and 2 nephews. Pete worked as a welder at Martinrea Fabco, Dresden. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Red Wings. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Alan McIntyre officiating. Cremation with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated.
