Obituary of Fran Stephens

STEPHENS: Fran A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Ridgetown, Fran Stephens died peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday March 26, 2008 at the age of 81. Born in Ridgetown, daughter of the late A.F. & Lou (Anderson) Holden. Beloved wife of the late Bert Stephens (1970) Loving mother of Bill & Louise Stephens of Chatham, Brenda & Doug Richardson of Chatham, Pam McCormack of London, and the late Joey Stephens (1967) Cherished grandmother of Tammy MacDougall, Terry Kivell, Josée Hart, Aline Harris, Marissa McCormack, and Kylee McCormack. Special grandmother of Phillip Johnson. Fondly remembered by great grandchildren Justin, Brooke, Ash-lee, Madison, Sydney, and Devon. Dear sister of Phyllis Henderson of Ridgetown, Ruth Riley of Florida, Bill Holden of Ridgetown, and the late Eleanor Pratt, Marg Wilkinson, and Freda McIntyre. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Fran was an active 55 year member of Branch 28 Royal Canadian Legion and Ladies Auxiliary. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Branch 28 Legion Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Saturday March 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Dorothy Scott, Chaplain of Branch 28 Royal Canadian Legion officiating. Cremation with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown at a later date. If desired, donations made to Branch 28 Royal Canadian Legion appreciated.
