Obituary of Joseph 'Clare' Ball

Ball: Joseph Clare A resident of Chatham, Clare Ball passed away at the London Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the age of 66. Born in Raleigh Township son of the late Joseph and Rose Ball. Beloved husband of Mary Ball (nee Rumble). Loving father of Lisa (Allard) Ball and partner Mike Webster, Garrett Ball and partner Valerie Lucier, Jordan Ball and partner Chris Schnurr. Proud grandfather to Christopher Allard, Jessie Allard, Brittany Allard, Anthony Ball and Lyric Kennedy-Ball. Dear brother to Sherry and Bill Horn, Karen and Jack Barr and Bill Ball. Clare will also be dearly missed by his many brothers and sisters-in-law as well as his special friends Poet, Chappie, Lucky and Angel. Predeceased by his daughter Cherise Ball and brother Gene Ball. Clare was a retired employee of the Tecumseh House (T-House), Siemens and Price Chopper. He was also an inductee in the Chatham Sports Hall of Fame. Clare will also forever be remembered for his dedication to the Detroit Tigers and Lions; his love of the classic music of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s; his love of movies; Lucky beer and relaxing by his pond and sunny summer days with Ernie Harwell on the radio. Clare’s memory will live on with his many superb friends. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. At Clare’s request there will be no service. Cremation to follow. As your expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Chatham Humane Society, Chatham Wish Centre and the Chatham Outreach for Hunger would be greatly appreciated by the family.
