BROOKS: Muriel Bernice. A resident of Blenheim, Muriel Brooks passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the age of 90. Born in Raleigh Township, daughter of the late Thomas and Nora (Bennett) Clark. Beloved wife of Stuart Brooks for 72 years (just one month short of 73 years). Dear mother of Clark and Donna Brooks of Brantford, Gary and Marlene Brooks of Windsor, and Tom and Eleanor Brooks of Kitchener. Grandmother of Kevin and Sue Brooks, Keith and Elizabeth Brooks, Sherry and Jim Grant, Tim and Antonella Brooks, Angela and Daryl Rideout, Deborah and Steven Lamb, and the late Jeffery Brooks (1989). Great-grandmother of Mark, Steven, Kelvin, Abigail, Travis, Lauren, and James Brooks, Jessica and Jacob Lamb, Cassandra and Calvin Rideout, and predeceased by great-granddaughter Claire Lamb (2007). Sister of the late Marian Compton and her husband Arthur Compton of Chatham. Sister-in-law of Gordon and Ella Brooks of Chatham, Earl Brooks of Kitchener and his late wife June, Trevor and Betty Brooks of London, Shirley and Gordon Kennedy of Ridgetown, Lyda Brooks of Ridgetown and her late husband Norman, Wanda Brooks of Chatham and her late husband Jack, and the late Robert and Donna Brooks, Reta and Wendall Cook, Maurice and Beatrice Brooks, and Edward Brooks. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home "Ford Chapel", 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Alan McIntyre officiating.
