Obituary of Alice Christina Schwandt

Schwandt: Alice Christina, a resident of Chatham. Alice C. Schwandt was received into the arms of Jesus on Sunday April 6, 2008 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 85. Born in Chatham daughter of the late William Hosea and Ruby Grace (Rice) Stover. Mrs. Schwandt was manager of the Gospel Text Bookstore for 43 years and an active board member of Chatham Baptist Church; Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF); Gospel Text Missions and the Christian Booksellers Association of Canada (CBA). Beloved wife of Lloyd B. Schwandt. Dear mother of Wayne & Helen Schwandt, Chatham and their children Dawn & Paul Pereira, Byron, Jeremy & Todd; Grace Ann & Ralph Barnwell, Amherstburg and their children James McCallum, John Wayne & Susan McCallum.; and the late Linda Wright (2000), her husband Paul Wright, Duart and their children Krista & Bryan Taylor, Miranda & Jonathan Smithyman. Great Grandmother of Paige, Connor, Cole, Eathan, Kristopher, Justin, Noah and Dylan. Sister of the late Mary Schwarz, William (Sonny) Stover and Rose Bushey. Sister-in-law of Myrtle & Bert Dale, Pickering and Muriel Martin, Waterloo. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Tuesday April 8, 2008 from 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted from the Chatham Baptist Church, William St., on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jamie Tiffin officiating. Interment Arnold Cemetery.
