Obituary of Jean Doey

DOEY: Jean A resident of Chatham, Jean Doey, died peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday April 23, 2008 at the age of 82. Born in Bothwell, daughter of the late Thomas & Melvina (Tyrrell) Baynton. Beloved wife of Lloyd Doey for 57 years. Loving mother of David Doey & Suham of Chatham, Richard Doey & Elaine of London, and Sandy Moore & Wes of Sault Ste. Marie. Cherished grandmother of Gabrielle Doey, Amanda Bygrave, and Heather and Brianne Moore. Dear sister of Shirley Rathwell & Harold of Chatham, and sister-in-law of Joyce Baynton of Windsor. Predeceased by sisters Dorothy (Wilf) Graham, Helen (Jack) Wills, and brother Donald Baynton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jean was a lifelong member of Park Street United Church, and more recently of St. Andrew’s United Church. She was a committee member of Orchestra London, a member of Chatham Granite Club, and involved with IODE for many years.
