Obituary of Randy Bishop

BISHOP: Randy, A resident of Chatham, it is with great sadness that the family of Randy Bishop announce his passing on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the age of 54, after a brief and courageous battle, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend of Debby (McCart) Bishop. Loving father of Jennifer Smith and her husband Justin, of Hamilton, and Kim Bishop and her fiancé Mohammed Benabdelmalek, of Richmond Hill. He will also be missed by his beloved dog Sam. Randy is the beloved son of Vern & Arlene (DeVriese) Bishop. Dear brother of Charlene & Bob Lindsay of Chatham, Steven & Linda Bishop of Windsor, Gail & Calvin Antaya of Chatham, Scott & Cheryl Bishop of Chatham. Brother in-law of Cherie & Ron Coristine of Chatham, Larry McCart of B.C., Jack McCart of LaSalle, Kathy Niven of Chatham, and Jeri & Don Perry of Chatham. Randy is also sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother in-law Bob McCart and mother & father in-law Larry & Gladys McCart. Randy loved his family, his Porsche, his golf, and his dog. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham, on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 2:00- 4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Dennis Wilhelm celebrant. Donations made in memory of Randy to the Foundation of the C.K.H.A. – M.R.I. Fund or the Myles Miracle Mission – Cancer Assist are welcomed. ‘ God bless the broken road that led me straight to you.’
