Obituary of Susan Lauzon

Lauzon: Susan C. (nee Damm) A resident of Dover Township, Susan Lauzon passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Wednesday May 14, 2008. Born in Windsor on January 11, 1956- daughter of the late Fred Damm (2000) and Lorraine Damm. Left behind to mourn is her loving husband of 32 years Gerard Lauzon; her precious daughters – Sarah Lauzon, Jessica Hibbs and her husband Darin. Proud grandmother to her sweet little grandson Benjamin Hibbs. Susan will be dearly missed by her mother and step-father – Lorraine & Bill McAdam. Sadly missed her sister and best friend – Kathy and her husband Randy Reaume. Survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law – Joe and Sueanne Lauzon, John and Patty Lauzon. Step-brothers and sisters Don, Elaine, Gary & Ingrid McAdam. Loving Aunt to Amy Nardella, Katy and Marc Heath, Niki and Jim Stanley, Jenny and Greg Lezama, Kim Lauzon & Tavis McLean, Jeff, Riley & Taylor Lauzon. Predeaced by mother & father in-law June & Alfred Lauzon. Susan lived a wonderful life with her caring supportive family. The love and devotion she had for her husband, daughters and little grandson was unmatched. Unfortunately a brain tumour cut her life short so she was unable to fulfill her dreams of a happy retirement. Susan was a dedicated caregiver at Victoria Residence for 25 years. In her last years of working she achieved her Certified Cooks diploma. Susan was also a skilled cake decorator. Even with her busy life she was a caring volunteer for the disabled. Susan enjoyed cooking for her friends and family, travelling, camping and family get togethers . Her story telling was enjoyed by all. Susan’s honest, sincere, caring, cheerful, enthusiastic personality will leave a huge hole in our family. A special thank-you to her devoted friends and family, Myles Miracle Mission, CCAC and Bayshore employees for their wonderful support during Susan’s illness. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Thursday from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A funeral to celebrate Susan’s life will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. Pastor Dan Mountney officiating. Interment at Owen Cemetery, Dover. If you wish, memorial donations to honour Susan’s life can be made to the CKHA –M.R.I. Fund or the Myles Miracle Mission and would be appreciated by the family.
