Obituary of Stuart E. Brooks

BROOKS: Stuart Edwin. A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Blenheim, Stuart E. Brooks passed away at the Village Rest Home, Ridgetown on Sunday May 18, 2008 at the age of 93 years. Born in Dutton, Ontario son of the late George and Myrtle (Tiffin) Brooks. Beloved husband of 73 years of the late Muriel B. (Clark) Brooks (March 2008). Dear father of Clark & Donna Brooks of Brantford, Gary and Marlene Brooks of Windsor, and Tom & Eleanor Brooks of Kitchener. Grandfather of Kevin & Sue Brooks, Keith & Elizabeth Brooks, Sherry & Jim Grant, Tim & Antonella Brooks, Angela & Daryl Rideout, Deborah & Steven Lamb and the late Jeffery Brooks (1989). Great Grandfather of Mark Brooks, Steven Brooks, Kelvin Brooks, Abigail Brooks, Travis Brooks, Lauren Brooks, James Brooks, Jessica Lamb, Jacob Lamb, Cassandra Rideout, Calvin Rideout, and the late Claire Lamb (2007). Brother of Gordon & Ella Brooks of Chatham, Earl Brooks of Kitchener and his late wife June, Trevor and Betty Brooks of London, Shirley & Gordon Kennedy of Ridgetown, Lyda Brooks of Ridgetown & her late husband Norman, Wanda Brooks of Chatham and her late husband Jack, and the late Robert & Donna Brooks, Reta & Wendall Cook, Maurice & Beatrice Brooks, and Edward (Bill) Brooks. Mr. Brooks retired to Blenheim after a career as a security officer with Ford of Canada, Oakville and as a former Ontario Provincial Police Officer. The Brooks Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home “Ford Chapel”, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Tuesday May 20th 2008 from 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service from the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Al McIntyre officiating.
