KERR: Lilias Jo, a resident of Chatham, Lilias Kerr died suddenly Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham at the age of 68. Born in Chatham daughter of the late Peter & Shirley (Thomson) Ferguson. Beloved wife of Donald Kerr. Dear mother of Karen Lilias Kerr, Mississauga and Peter Douglas Kerr, Newmarket. Grandmother of Brooke Kenyon Kerr and Kassidy Dakota Kerr. Sister of Ruth & her husband Lyle Ball, Chatham; Bob Ferguson, Florida and the late Billy Ferguson. Daughter-in-law of Alma Kerr, Chatham and the late Douglas Kerr. Sister-in-law of Larry & Sue Kerr, Chatham and the late Karen Kerr. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Lilias was an active member of Indian Creek Golf Club and the backbone to the Jr. Golf Program for several years. She was also organist for St. Paul’s Anglican Church for 36 years. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Karen Nelles officiating. Cremation with Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation appreciated.
