Obituary of Robert Lewis Geauvreau

GEAUVREAU: Robert Lewis, A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Windsor and Cottam, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus, at the age of 82. Born in Arn Prior Township to the late Thomas & Edith (Balkwell) Geauvreau. Beloved husband of the late Beatrice (Sylvestre) Geauvreau. Dear father of Ms. Cherie Geauvreau of Salt Spring Is., B.C., and Tom Geauvreau of Cambridge, ON. Loving grandfather of Cheryl & Aaron Hewitt, Lisa Geauvreau, and great grandchildren Paige and Cameron Hewitt, all of Guelph. Lewis was the beloved friend of Bonnie & Donald Stanbury of Ridgetown. Predeceased by brother Ed Geauvreau and his wife Gladys. Survived by Brother in-law Jim & Charlotte Sylvestre, sisters in-law Mary Lesser, and Agnes Sylvestre. Lewis worked for Chrysler for 37 years until his retirement. He spent many summers camping at Wildwood by the lake. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main St. E., Ridgetown, on Thursday, May 29, 2008, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008, from the Funeral Home, with Fr. Mariaraj Irudayam O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation are welcomed.
