BUTLER: Ilene a resident of Chatham, Elva Ilene Butler passed away at Riverview Gardens, Chatham on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at the age of 82. Born in Stevenson, Ontario to the late Charles and Mary (Starks) Garlick. Beloved wife of the late Charles M. Butler (1996). Loving mother of Jack Butler and his wife Ruth Ann, Stanley Butler, Sue Sparks and her husband Ron, all of Chatham, Lynne Neaves of Thamesville, Charles Butler and his wife Linda of Chatham, Gary Butler and his wife Cathie of Bothwell, Steve Butler and his wife Janice of Chatham, Debora Gore of London and the late Barbara Ann Strasburg (2001) and Ruth Grant (1980). Grandmother of 28, great-grandmother of 25 and great-great-grandmother of 6. Dear sister of Florence and Karl Work of Stouffeville and predeceased by siblings Bill Garlick, Eliza Garlick, Chuck Garlick, Irene Cartier, Emily Baker and Alberta Soper. Sister-in-law of Rita Garlick of Tilbury and Art Cartier of London. Ilene was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday. May 30, 2008 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Martin officiating.
