Obituary of Madeline Kendall

Kendall: Madeline (nee DeWael) A resident of Chatham, Madeline Kendall passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Sydenham Campus on June 23, 2008 at the age of 79. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late John and Myrtle DeWael. Loving wife of the late Marvin Kendall (2000). Dear mother of Donald and Pat Kendall, Betty and Tim Rylett, Cheryl Kendall, Mary and Kim Smyth. Predeceased by her son Dennis DeWael (2007). Proud grandmother to Kathy & Rob, Shelley & Joe, Chris, Melanie, Heather, Jordan & Megan, Shannon & Steve, Ashley & Ben, Matthew and 4 great-grandchildren. Survived by her step-brother Ray Balasin and Donna, and sisters in-law Helen, Ann, Eunice, and Muriel. Predeceased by her sisters Bertha DeWael, Louise Jones, Laura Oulds, Tena Oulds, Irma Sadler, Mary Hornick and brothers John DeWael, Cyril (Sonny) DeWael, Herman DeWael, Andrew DeWael and step brother Larry Balasin. Madeline was a retired employee of Campbell’s in Chatham and was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #628 Ladies Auxiliary. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 628 Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service for Madeline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday June 27, 2008 from the Funeral Home. Interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation, CKHA-M.R.I. Fund or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
