Obituary of Margaret Macaulay

Macaulay: Margaret Gwendolyne (nee Abraham) After more than nine decades full of rich experiences, and driven by extraordinary determination, Margaret passed peacefully into the care of God at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus on July 1, 2008. Born in Chatham daughter of the late William and Hazel Abraham. Loving wife of the late Allen Macaulay (2002). Dear mother to Colleen and Bill Bohunicky. Predeceased by her infant daughter Maureen Hazel. Proud grandmother to Rhian, Brock and Taryn. Predeceased by her sister Katie Patterson. Margaret will also be dearly missed by her niece Lynn (Bob) Fox; great-niece and nephew Elizabeth Fox (Scott) and David Fox (Christina) and great-great niece and nephew Grace and Thomas. Born of proud pioneering lines dating back to the 1820's, Margaret spent her "dash" enriching the lives of all who knew her. Life was devoted to her entire family. Re-arranging her busy schedule to make the life of her loved ones easier and happy was always Margaret's way. She was a member of the Lt. Dick Crawford IODE, the Canadian figure Skating Association, the United States Figure Skating Association, the Junior Hospital / Helping Hands Auxiliary, the Chatham Figure Skating and an Honourary Life Member of the Rondeau Yacht Club. Those whose lives Margaret touched are surely enriched by the joy she gave. She lived life to the fullest. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Thursday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Funeral Home on Friday July 4, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Deacon Elaine Wilcox officiating. Interment at Arnold Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Chatham-Kent Humane Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
