Obituary of Margaret Doreen Smith

Smith: Margaret Doreen, a resident of Chatham. Margaret D. Smith died Friday July 4, 2008 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 80. Born in Alliston, Ontario, daughter of the late George Cecil & Ellinor (Mitchell) McMullen. Beloved wife of the late Samuel Richard (Dick) Smith (1990). Dear mother of Ruth & Ernie Taylor, Chatham; Linda & Pat Conan, Chatham; Rick Smith & Marjorie Germain, Ingersoll; Eleanor & Henry Hendriks; Raymond Smith; Carol Smith; Murray Smith, all of Chatham and the late John Smith (2005) and Helen Parker Smith (2006). Sadly missed by 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Sister of the late Jean MacKenzie, Ken McMullen, Mabel Girrard and Ruth Patenaude. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Margaret was a member of the Moose Lodge, Chatham. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Sunday July 6, 2008 from 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation with Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham at a later date.
