Obituary of E. Luella Guyitt

A resident of Ridgetown, E. Luella (Louie) Guyitt passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus on Monday July 21, 2008 at the age of 94 years. Born in Zone Twsp. Kent County, daughter of the late Peter Duncan and Eva May (Lamporte) McDonell. Beloved wife of the late Emerson L. Guyitt (1983). Loved mother of Peter and Maxine Guyitt of Ridgetown, Catherine Moore of Oakville, Margaret & Camiel Seliga of Ridgetown and Harry & Pam Guyitt of Brantford. Also surviving are 9 Granddaughters Kim (Gary) Scoyne, Beth (Tom) Yagecic, Dani (Greg) Danyluk, Teri Moore, Charlene (Jim) Chalmers, Mary Lynne Martin, Debbie (Jamie) Long, Leah (Fred) Coll, and Julie Guyitt Predeceased by a grandson Ted Guyitt (1983). Also surviving are 21 Great Grandchildren and a Grandson-in-law Tom Martin. She was predeceased by 2 great grandchildren. Louie was the youngest of seven girls who have all predeceased: Marjorie North, Bessie Minshell, Irene Hall, Lillian Allison, Jean McDonald and Olive Kelly. She was a retired hairdresser and worked for many years as the hairdresser for the McKinlay Funeral Home. Louie was a member of Erie Street United Church in Ridgetown. She was interested in and collected antique clothing and household artifacts. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Thursday July 24, 2008 from 2:00-4:30 & 7:00- 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment of cremated remains in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
