Obituary of Charles R. Evans

Evans: Charles Richard A resident of Ridgetown, Charles R. Evans, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance,Chatham, on Monday August 18, 2008 at the age of 96. Born in Howard Twsp. son of the late Albert and Ella M. (Boothroyd) Evans. Beloved husband of the late Florence I. (Walker) Evans. (2006). Dear father of Margaret and her husband William Johnston of R. R. #1, Morpeth. Loving grandfather of Erin and her husband Jeremy Welch, and Evan and his wife Denise Johnston. Great grandfather of Marie and Lindsay Welch and Isaac and Ella Johnston. Brother of the late Eva Hardcastle , Gertie M. Rigby, Nina V. Evans, Leata Dempster, Edward "Vern" Evans and Arthur L. Evans. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was a member for over fifty years of the Howard Masonic Lodge #391 A.F. & A.M. He was a charter member and past president of the Ridgetown Kiwanis Club. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, Ridgetown on Sunday August 24, 2008 from 2:00 & 4:30 and 7:00 -9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday August 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Judith Fayter, of Erie Street United Church officiating.
