Obituary of Benjamin F. Brooks

Brooks: Benjamin F. “Ben” A resident of McKay’s Corners, Ben Brooks passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance –Chatham Campus on September 3, 2008 at the age of 49. Beloved husband of Heather Brooks (nee Willick). Ben will be sadly missed by his mother Blanche Brooks of Merlin. Predeceased by his father Norman (1996) Dear brother of Sheila Rembert (William) of Detroit, Sandra Brooks of Chatham. Uncle to Fawn Rembert of Detroit. Ben leaves three step-children Tara Rioux (Pierre), Caralynn Carson (Greg) both of Chatham, Norman Hodgkin (Melanie) of Merlin and five grandchildren. Ben also leaves to cherish his memory, his mother-in-law Caroline Willick of Merlin. Predeceased by his father-in-law Albert. Brother-in-law to David Willick (Laurie) of Chatham, Dawn Shieves (Mark) of Blenheim. Ben’s memory will also live on in many aunts, uncles, and cousins and many friends. Bens loving, caring and helping spirit will be missed by all who knew him. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Friday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. Pastor Douglas Birse officiating. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
