CIKATRICIS, Anna. A resident of Ridgetown, Anna passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 84. Born on July 22, 1924 in Zavar Slovakia. Beloved wife of the late Anton “Tony” Cikatricis. Loving mother of Ed and Kathy Cikatricis of Ridgetown, Tony and Marcelle Cikatricis of Port Dover, Velma and Al Malcolm of Chatham, Carol and Kevin Rankin of Ridgetown. Proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sistersMary Knizat of Winnipeg, Petronella “Nellie” Plevza, Cecilia and Ed Toovey of British Columbia and her brother Stan and Joan Plevza of Alberta. Predeceased by her sisters Josephine Matko and Frances Korol. Anna was a Grandma to many children in the community which she babysat for 11 years. Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Friday September 12th, 2008 from 2:00 – 4:30 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Vigil prayers at 7:00 p.m. Friday. Funeral Mass will be held at St Michael’s Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery.
