LAURIE: Joyce M. A resident of Erie Beach, Joyce Laurie passed away peacefully at her brother’s home in Blenheim on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the age of 46. Born in Chatham, beloved daughter of Gord and Marie (Slocombe) Laurie of Blenheim. Dear sister of Paul Laurie of Shrewsbury, and Peter and Chrissie Laurie of Blenheim. Special aunt of Spencer and Arden. Niece of Jean Cameron of Blenheim and her late husband Gerry, Jim and Jo-Ann Laurie of Blenheim, George and Norma Laurie of Chatham, and Shirley Dawson of Edmonton. Joyce will also be fondly remembered by cousins Pat and Jim Bennett and family of Erie Beach, Murray and Liz Butler and family of Ridgetown, Mike Laurie and family of Blenheim, Jenn and Mike Bush of St. Thomas, Wayne and Deb Stoehr and family of Erie Beach, and Byron and Sharron Stoehr of Toronto. Joyce worked at WayCon International, Chatham. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home “Ford Chapel”, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Sevice will be held from the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bruce Cook of Blenheim United Church officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations in honour of Joyce to the O.S.P.C.A.
