Forsten, Elbert Egbert A resident of Blenheim, Elbert Forsten passed away suddenly as a result of an automobile accident on Friday, September 19, 2008 at the age of 66. Dear son of Lammigje (Boer) Forsten and the late Evert Forsten (2000). Beloved husband of Effie (Hoekstra) Forsten. Dear father of Cindy and Mike Bokor of Cedar Springs, Everett and Trudy Forsten of Sarnia, Nancy and Jeff Little of Kitchener and the late Bradley (1992) and infant daughter Annette (1974). Brother of Harry and Carol Forsten of Chatham and the late Alice Greenway (1998). Cherished grandfather of Kristy and Kelvin Bokor, Kaylene and Trever Forsten, Michele and Tara Little. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Elbert was the Deacon and caretaker of the Blenheim Christian Reformed Church. He was an enthusiastic member of the East Kent Vintage Equipment Club and proud owner of Cockshutt tractors. He was also a former Cadet leader, former member of the Scottish Regiment and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 185. Elbert was employed for many years with the J.L. Ford Funeral Home in Blenheim and currently was working at the Deer Run Golf Course. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home ‘Ford Chapel’, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Blenheim Christian Reformed Church, 286 Chatham Street, South on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Frank DeBoer officiating.
