McWha: Gladys M. (nee Daly) A resident of Chatham, Gladys McWha passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Riverview Gardens at the age of 90. Born in Chatham Township daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Jane Daly. Beloved wife of the late Percy (Pete) McWha (1978). Dear mother to Shirley and Harley Nixon, Linda and Larry Pepper. Predeceased by her son Robert (Bob) McWha. Grandmother to Keith, Susan and Gary Nixon; Lisa Hammond and Mark Cundle; Amanda McWha. Great-grandmother to Matthew, Kyle and Ashley Nixon; Ashley and Aaron Formosa; Tyler, Peyton and Holly Cundle. Predeceased by her great-grandchild Katelyn Cundle. Proud great-great grandmother to Kaleb Sauve. Predeceased by her sisters Edna McAfrey and Mazy Johnson and her brother Andrew Daly. Gladys was a member of Sprucedale United Church and the U.C.W. She will also be remembered for her dedication to the art of quilting. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Pat Milliken officiating. Interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial donations to honour Gladys’ life can be made to the Sprucedale United Church or the Alzheimer's Society and would be appreciated by the family.
