Obituary of Carolyn Dorothy Anakin

ANAKIN: Carolyn Dorothy, a resident of Chatham. Carolyn D. Anakin died suddenly on Monday September 29, 2008 at London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus at the age of 77. Born in Clearville, Ontario daughter of the late Walter E. & Alma (Smith) Guyitt. Beloved wife of Robert (Bob) W. Anakin for 53 years. Loving mother, friend and shopping partner to Cherie Anakin Alexander, Chatham. Beloved Nana to Madelyn and Benjamin Alexander. Mrs. Anakin was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church and loved being a ‘Red Hat Lady’. She was part of an aquafit morning group at the YMCA, worked for the RBC Royal Bank , King St. and Keil Dr. branches for 35 years in many different roles. Carolyn was gregarious, outgoing and never forgot a face. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Wednesday October 1, 2008 from 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Deacon Elaine Wilcox officiating.
