Obituary of Robert 'Bob' Douglas Lester

LESTER: Robert ‘Bob’ Douglas, A resident of Chatham, Bob Lester died suddenly on Friday, October 10, 2008, at the age of 51. Born in Chatham, loving son of Mr. and Mrs. William & Marilyn (Morse) Lester of Chatham. Cherished husband of Rose (Marwood) Lester. Beloved father of Jacqueline Lemesurier and Jade Lester both of Chatham. Dear brother of Brad & Rodah Lester of Toronto, Brenda & Bill Bathurst of Chatham, and Brian Lester of London. Missed by uncle Doug Morse of London, mother in-law Kathleen Marwood of Sarnia, and brother in-law Richard Marwood of Sarnia.. Bob was loved and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews, as well as the Aiken & Kerr extended families. He will also be missed by his friends and co-workers at R.M. Classic Cars. Bob was an avid volunteer for C.K.S.S. and the Chatham Figure Skating Club and he was always eager to help everybody. Family received friends at the Funeral Home on Monday, afternoon and evening. Visitation continues on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 from 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Funeral Service to follow at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, from the Funeral Home, with Pastor Gord Reynolds officiating. Cremation to take place. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or the M.S. Society are welcomed and appreciated by Bob’s family.
