FRASER: Alvin L. A resident of Ridgetown, Alvin Fraser passed away at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the age of 82. Born in Chatham, son of the late William and Daisy (Churchill) Fraser. Predeceased by his wife Harriet (Goff) Fraser (1997). Father of Paul Fraser and his wife Sandra of Ridgetown, Garry Fraser and his wife Diane of Ridgetown, Gwen Malott and her husband Rick of Ridgetown, Candy Lynch of Ridgetown, and Dennis Fraser and his wife Carol of McKay's Corners. Grandfather of Paul, Julie, Shannon, Tammy, Sherry, Kevin, Karen, Bradley, Elicia, Danielle, B.J., Amy, Jenny, Jeffrey, Matt, Shawn, Katie, and predeceased by grand-daughter Lee-Ann (2006). Great-grandfather of 18. Brother of Jim Fraser of Chatham, Edna Morrell of New Brunswick, and the late Bill Fraser, Clarence Fraser, Roy Fraser, Ernie Fraser, Doug Fraser, Tommy Fraser, and Phyllis Charron. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Alvin retired from K.S.R. Ridgetown after 39 1/2 years of service. He was a veteran who served in the Canadian Army, and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #243 Ridgetown. A Family Funeral Service will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Alan McIntyre officiating.
