Wayne will be forever loved and missed by his wife Susan McLellan (nee DaSilva). Cherished father to James and Linda McLellan of Brantford and the late Myles (2006). Wayne’s memory will also live on in the memory of his many respected friends and colleagues. Wayne was Director of Engineering Services at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Wayne always did what was right and would go out of his way to help. He prided himself in his work and gave more than he should. Not wanting to reach out for help, Wayne never let on how much he was suffering, the pain of losing his son weighed heavy on his mind and heart. Most people who knew him thought of him as being able to handle anything. But those that truly loved him saw his cry for help in dealing with such a painful broken heart. Wayne was President of Myles Miracle Mission Cancer Assist, something both he and his wife Susan have been feverishly working on opening. Wayne enjoyed fishing, reading and working for hours in the garden. He also enjoyed his morning coffee with his wife overlooking the fish pond they built as a family. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Parish prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
