Kazarian Sr.: Leonie (nee Ousta) A resident of Chatham Leonie Kazarian Sr. passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus on Tuesday October 14, 2008 at the age of 91. Born in Syria, daughter of the late Elias and Mary Ousta. Loving wife of the late Sarkis Kazarian (1973). Dear mother to Sylvia and Stan Tombs of Scarborough, Kevork George Kazarian of Chatham, Souren and Astrid Kazarian of Montreal, Shahe and Levonty Kazarian of Beirut, Lebanon. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Eliza Kazarian (2006). Proud grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Alexandra of Syria. Predeceased by her 5 brothers. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Friday October 17, 2008 at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, Hwy #2 East Chatham at 2:00 p.m. Father Joseph Gereige celebrant. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-M.R.I. Campaign or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
