Obituary of Albert George Carey

Carey, Albert George. A resident of RR#7 Dresden, Albert passed away on October 20, 2008 at the age of 72. Son of the late Albert George and Ethel Carey. Loving husband of Sharon Carey (nee Dent). Beloved father of Debbie Smith (Jamie) of Thamesville and Albert Kevin Carey (Krista) of Chatham. Proud grandfather of Kadi Smith, Keely Smith, Kelsey Smith, Taylor Carey, Albert Ty Carey and Quinn Carey. Survived by his brother Bill Carey of Charing Cross and his sister Winnifred McKinney (Ken) of Leamington. Brother-in-law to Ron Dent (Terri) of Chatham and Terry Carey of Chatham. Predeceased by his brothers George Albert Carey of Thamesville, Ed Carey of Chatham and his sister Margaret. Albert was a retiree of Rockwell Meritor, where he worked for 32 years. He loved to camp and go to the horse races. Albert was also a devoted fan of his grandchildren’s sports teams. A family celebration of Albert’s life will be held at a later date. Donations made in memory of Albert to the Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Oncology Department, Chatham-Kent Humane Society or the Canadian Cancer society would be appreciated by the family.
