Obituary of Liselotte Podleski

Podleski: Liselotte (Meier) a resident of Chatham. Liselotte Podleski passed away at Riverview Gardens on Saturday October 25, 2008 at the age of 86. Born in Stetten, Germany, daughter of the late Fridolin and Amanda (Steger) Meier. Dear mother of Stefan Podleski of Seattle, Washington and Isabella Beattie of Chatham. Grandmother of Gregory, Christopher and Jennifer Beattie. Sister of Evi of Switzerland and Wilhem of Germany. Predeceased by siblings Anna Maria of Montreal, Alma, Marta, Elsa and Gregor all of Germany. Also predeceased by former spouse, Karl Podleski (2003). Liselotte, known by many as Lisa, immigrated to Canada in December of 1950 and lived in Pain Court for most of her life. She was an avid homemaker, gardener and life long learner who was a seeker of knowledge. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Wednesday October 29, 2008 from 3:00-5:30p.m . A Celebration of Liselotte’s Life will follow at 5:30.
