Poissant: Alma Mary (nee Myers) A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Dover Township, Alma passed away in Chatham on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Felix Poissant (1984). Loving mother of Gerald Poissant and Lydia of Thamesville, Dianne Clarke and her husband Edward of Chatham, Maurice Poissant and his wife Pat of Chatham and Judy Crawford of Chatham. Proud grandmother and great-grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Alphy and Elizabeth Myers. Survived by her sister Beulah Ouellette of Chatham. Alma and Felix had retired from farming in 1966. Alma then became a proud employee of the Deli at A&P. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, November 6, 2008 from 2:00 – 4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with Parish Prayers on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass with be celebrated at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 55 Croydon St., Chatham, on Friday, November 7th, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Dan Bombardier celebrant. Interment St Anthony’s Cemetery. Donations made on behalf of Alma to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
