Emmett Roy

Obituary of Emmett Scott Roy

ROY: Emmett Scott Emmett was born at 10:40 a.m. on Friday, October 24, 2008, and slipped away peacefully early in the morning on Tuesday, November 4, in the arms of his parents. He leaves behind his father Raymond, mother Erin (Rankin), and twin brother Emmanuel Roger Roy. Emmett was born and taken from us too soon. He was our “petit oiseau”, who struggled valiantly outside of the nest, but in the end was summoned by Jesus, and is now at peace. He brought us tremendous joy in the short time he was with us. We will always love him. Emmett is also survived by his grandparents Scott & Judy Rankin and Roger & Angela Roy, great grandparents Joseph & Mary Szucs, and great great grandmother Lea Szucs. Cherished nephew of Kelly & Matt Hart, Kathy & Steve Lacina, Jeffrey Rankin, Marie Coslovich, Gerard Roy & Laurie Hawkins, Bernard Roy & Stacey Laprise. He will also be missed by many cousins, great aunts and uncles. A special thank-you goes out to Dr. Polsky, Dr. Mundle, Dr. Addy, and Dr. Thoms of the Windsor Regional Hospital, as well as the nurses from the NICU. Our heartfelt thanks also goes out to the Detroit Children’s Hospital, the staff of Room 404B NICU, and attending physicians Dr. Shankareen and Dr. Bedard. A Private Family Service was held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, Chatham, for Emmett on Friday, November 7, 2008. Interment followed at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Pain Court. Donations in memory of Emmett may be made to Ronald McDonald House, as they have been great support to us during these difficult times. Online condolences may be left at www.mckinlayfuneralhome.com. Emmett is now our beautiful angel in heaven, and will watch over us all.
