Obituary of Thomas Paul Urquhart

URQUHART: Thomas Paul October 21, 1952 – October 30, 2008. As the angels descended to guide him home, we announce the passing of a truly courageous fighter who lost his battle with cancer. Son of the late Leo & Patricia. Grandson of the late Ted & Victoria Dawson. He leaves behind with broken hearts his sister Sherry Barris and her partner Richard Winik; niece Carrie Caputo, her spouse Carlo, and their children Alexandria & Victoria; nephew and godson Sean Maine, his spouse Karrie, and their children Joshua & Julia. Treasured nephew of James Dawson & late Theresa, Thomas Dawson & the late Bonnie, Nancy & Paul Denomy, and the late Shirley Dawson. He also leaves behind many cousins and dear friends. There are many people who helped Tom through his journey. Many thanks to Dr. Kate Bailey for her compassion, VON Essex-Vicky Smith, the amazing staff at CKHA-Continuing Care, Fr. Leslie, Janette, Nurses Amy, Diane, Mary-Beth, Stephanie, Melanie, and the truly wonderful Cheryl, along with the support staff who gave him great care and compassion during his final days. Thanks to Uncle Tom, Aunt Nancy, Cousin Vicky Evans, Rick, my children Carrie & Sean, Debbie & Shirley, and Tom’s good friend Sharon Cushman who were there with us with love and support at every step. Tom was a truly amazing man who will live in our hearts forever. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Interment Service will take place at a later date.
