Obituary of Charles Donald Lackie

LACKIE: Charles Donald (Chuck). A resident of Ridgetown, Chuck Lackie passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus on Friday November 14, 2008 at the age of 75. Born in Chatham son of the late David and Elizabeth Lackie. Loving husband to Ruth (nee Geddis) and the late Edna (nee Barr) (1999). Dear father to Tammy Lackie and David Scott, Scott and Chasity Lackie, David, Shawn and Colleen and the late Shannon Barr (2000). Father-in-law to Brenda Barr. Proud grandfather to Shantelle, Sheila, Jordan, Shawna, TaylorAnn, Madison and Brayden. Dear brother to Betty Towers and her husband Earl of Chatham. Predeceased by his brother Ian. Uncle to Jayne Pope and her husband Stephen; Douglas Towers and Brenda Myers. Also survived by many relatives in Scotland. Chuck was a former employee of Siemens before his retirement. Chuck will always be remembered for his love of horses and his dedication to the Canadian Pony Society. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home 76 Main St. East., Ridgetown on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Susan Jolley officiating. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to honour Chuck’s life can be made to the O.S.P.C.A. or the Lower Thames Conservation Authority and would be appreciated by the family.
