MARTIN: Wallace “Wally” A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Blenheim, Wally Martin died peacefully at Copper Terrace, Chatham on Wednesday November 19, 2008 at the age of 85. Born in Blenheim, son of the late Percy & Amelia Martin. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (French) Martin. (1980) Loving father of Wendy Martin, Lynn & Ron Vince, and Annette Marchand, all of Chatham. Cherished grandfather of Jeff & Alison Vince of Waterloo, Sheldon Vince, Rebecca & Kevin Janssens, Ashley Vince, David Marchand. and Jonathan Marchand, all of Chatham. Great grandfather of Alex Vince, Kacey Vince, Landon Marchand, and Kaitlynn Janssens. Brother of the late Albert, Doug, Arthur, Ruth, Marj, Doreen, Martha, and Peg. Brother-in-law of Becky (Arthur) Martin of Chatham, Elsie (Albert) Martin of Toronto, and Alma Emery of Barrie. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Wally served in WWII with the Canadian Army. He was a lifetime member of Branch 28, Royal Canadian Legion. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday November 21, 2008 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. A Funeral Service & Legion Memorial Service under the auspices of Branch 28 will follow immediately at 1:30 p.m. from the Funeral Home.
