Heemsbergen: Betty Jean (nee Hoyles) A resident of Chatham, Betty Heemsbergen passed away peacefully at Meadowpark Nursing Home on November 24, 2008 at the age of 81. Born in Prairie Siding, daughter of the late Samuel and Jennie (Mott) Hoyles. Loving wife of Richard Heemsbergen. Dear mother to Ric Heemsbergen and his wife Cheryl of Wyoming. Proud grandmother to Krysten. Dear sister to Anna and Lloyd Pardo of Chatham, Dorothy and Lee Fox of Harwich Township. Betty will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews- Brenda Kells, Terry Pogochar, Jodi Morrison and Michael Fox. Betty was a lifetime resident of the Chatham area. She was Past Grand Regent of the Women of the Moose-#304 Chatham and was an active member of the Maple City Centre for Older Adults. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Wednesday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. James E. Brown officiating. Cremation with interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to the Canadaian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
