Obituary of Beverly Arnold

ARNOLD: Beverly Lee A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Chatham Township, Beverly Arnold died peacefully, surrounded by his family at Copper Terrace on Wednesday November 26, 2008 at the age of 81. Born in Chatham, son of the late Frank & Lillian (Merritt) Arnold. Beloved husband of the late Clara (Van Wel) Arnold, who passed away February 12, 2008. Loving father of Cheryl & Greg Payne, Connie & Don Legary, and Colleen & Matt Tracey, all of Chatham. Cherished grandfather of Michelle Benoot, Jeremy Arnold, Matthew Taylor, Joshua Taylor, Noah Legary, and Tristan Stephens. Fondly remembered by a special son Rene Carron & his wife Cathy of Chatham. Dear brother-in-law of Grace Arnold of Chatham, and Clara Van Wel of Chatham. Predeceased by his brothers Glen Arnold, Clair Arnold, sister-in-law Dorothy Arnold, and brother-in-law James Van Wel. Bev farmed for many years in Chatham Township, and retired after 20 years from Motor Wheel. He was a dedicated Volunteer Firefighter in Chatham Township for over 40 years. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Pat Pickle, Chaplain of Copper Terrace officiating. Interment Arnold Cemetery, Chatham Township. Donations Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.
