Obituary of Neva Smith

SMITH: Neva Evelyn (nee Makey) passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the age of 87. Daughter of the late Albert and Marietta Makey. Beloved wife of the late Nathan Smith (2003). Loving mother of Ralph Makey and Jean Pinch of Wheatley, James A. Smith and Patricia of Wyoming, Caroline Osborne and Ken of Kent Bridge, Helen Walker of Kent Bridge, Dick Smith and Norma of Erie Beach, Diana Skidmore and Gary of Chatham, Linda Tuach of Chatham and Ab Smith and Jan of Rodney. Predeceased by sons-in-law Ron Walker and Don Tuach and by infant daughter Patricia. Proud grandmother and great-grandmother of 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Lawrence Makey and her sisters Hazel Myers, Beatrice Little and Edith Ireland. Neva was a lifetime member of the Blenheim Legion. Ken Powell officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
