Obituary of William Barclay Dawson

DAWSON: William Barclay, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Monday, December 15, 2008 at the age of 86. Born in Albany, Prince Edward Island, to the late John H. and Jane Dawson. Beloved husband of the late Florence Elizabeth “Betty” Wood (1989). Predeceased by his first wife Marion Dawson (2007). Loving father of Carol Williston (Clarence) of Chatham, Arnold H. Dawson (Judy) of Mitchell’s Bay, Arthur W. Dawson (Barb) of Chatham, Charlie Dawson (Hilarie) of Kentucky, William Dawson (Linda) of Chatham, Glenn A. Dawson (Deborah) of Brights Grove and the late Joyce Hakker. Stepfather of Diana Lewis (Frank) of Newbury and Betty Jean Speller of Cayuga. Proud grandfather and great-grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his granddaughter Melissa Lewis. Survived by his brothers Joe and Paul Dawson, and his sisters Mary Webster and Doris Fall, all of Prince Edward Island. Predeceased by his brothers Clifford and Hazen Dawson of Prince Edward Island. William worked at Bulk Carriers in Sarnia and International in Chatham. He was a life member of the Sarnia Moose Lodge #1046.
