Obituary of Thomas 'Tom' Lyle Johnston

JOHNSTON: Thomas Lyle, A resident of Kent Bridge, passed away suddenly in Mission, Texas, on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at the age of 70.Born in Chatham to the late Lyle & Alice (Nicholson) Johnston. Tom leaves behind his wife and best friend Doris (Clark) Johnston. Loving father of Paul & Cheryl (Laroche) Johnston and Doug & Sue (Johns) Johnston. Tom will be missed by his grandchildren Josh, Elyse, Nicholas, Philip, and Thomas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife Linda (Ayres) Johnston (1983) and brother Richard Johnston (1993). Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. and 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Monday. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 11:00a.m., from the Funeral Home, with The Rev. James E. Brown officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
