DOULAPTSIS: Eleni. A resident of Blenheim, Eleni Doulaptsis passed away at the Blenheim Community Village on Monday, January 12, 2009 at the age of 86. Born in Kalipefki, Greece, daughter of the late Asterios and Maria (Vardakaris) Kylindris. Beloved wife of Apostolos Doulaptsis since 1957. Dear mother of Jim Doulaptsis and his wife Helen of Blenheim, and Christina Dassios and her husband Jack of Blenheim. Grandmother of Stephanie Doulaptsis, Aurilia Doulaptsis, Paul Dassios, Greg Dassios, and Nektarios Dassios. Sister of Tom and Evangelia Kylindris of London, and Paraskevi Grizias of Greece. Predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Doulaptsis was a member of St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, Chatham. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, 816 Grand Avenue East, Chatham on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
