Obituary of Ben Bulckaert

BULCKAERT: Ben A, a resident of Chatham and formerly of Ridgetown area, Ben passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on January 16, 2009 at the age of 85. Born in Romney Township, son of the late George and Emelie Bulckaert. Beloved husband of Evonne M. Neutens. Loving father of Allan and his wife Shelley of London and Brian and his wife Toni of Ridgetown. Proud grandfather of Wendy Bulckaert-Chou and her husband Henry, Jason Bulckaert, Lauren Bulckaert, Jordan Bulckaert and his wife Stephanie and Amanda Bulckaert. Great-grandfather of Gabriel, Miranna, Jennaya and Isabelle Chou. Predeceased by his sister Mary Regnier.Ben was a former farmer in Howard Township and a 30 year employee of British Leaf Tobacco Company. He was also an active member at the Centre for Older Adults and St. Agnes Catholic Church. Friends may call at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham, on Sunday January 18, 2009 from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 52 Croyden St., Chatham on Monday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Bombardier the Celebrant. Cremation to take place with burial at a later date. Donations made on behalf of Ben to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and The Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
