Born in The Netherlands daughter of the late John & Margaret (Huizenga) Veenema. Beloved wife of the late Klaas Wiersma (2000). Dear mother of Clare & Evelien Wiersma, Chatham; Jeff & Laura Wiersma, Binbrook and Cindy & Rob McDougall, Chatham. Grandmother of Joeline & Jeremy VanKesteren; Chandra & Dusty Benner; Jenica & Dan VanKesteren; Kellen & Meghan Wiersma; Christopher & Michelle Wiersma; Nicoline Wiersma; Kaitlynn Wiersma; Trell Solomon; Dillon Wiersma and 12 great-grandchildren. Sister of Martha & the late William Haan, Michigan; Henk & Wilma Veenema, Chatham; Dirkje & John Koster, Grimsby; Dianne & Roger Ramandt, Newbury; Margaret & Frank Schram, Michigan and Jan & Ron Westendorp, Michigan. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Tuesday January 20, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at Gregory Drive Alliance Church on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Gordon Reynolds officiating.
