Obituary of John 'Jack' Milton Kiser

Kiser: John “Jack” Milton A former Fire Captain and a resident of Chatham, Jack Kiser passed away suddenly on Sunday January 25, 2009 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance- Chatham Campus, at the age of 70. Born in Chatham, son of the late Lawrence Milton Kiser and Patricia McKown. Grandson of the late William Harrison & Ila Maude Kiser. Loving husband of 51 years to Mary Kiser (nee Dees). Dear father to Linda Benoot and fiancé Gerard Lauzon; Milt Kiser and partner Marla; John Kiser and wife Anne; Jason Kiser and partner Nikki. Proud grandfather to Josh & Kristi Benoot, Ry Boulton, Aaron & Regan Kiser. Brother to Brenda Stirling; brother-in-law to JoAnne Kiser; half-brother to Kathie Snelgrove and step-brother to Bob Peel. Predeceased by his brother Gary Kiser (2004). Jack will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews as well as the “coffee buddies” at the Breakfast House & Grill. Jack was a retired Fire Captain with the Chatham Fire Department with over 35 years of service to the residents of Chatham and Chatham-Kent. He was a member of the Chatham Professional Firefighters Association and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 28. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home 459 St. Clair Street Chatham on Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday January 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Margaret Moryiama officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
