Obituary of Gloria Lewis

LEWIS: Gloria Jean A resident of Wallaceburg and formerly of Dover Township, Gloria Lewis died peacefully at Fairfield Park Nursing Home on Thursday January 29, 2009 at the age of 83. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Wilfred & Laverna McGregor. Beloved wife of the late Byrell Lewis. (1985) Loving mother of Barbara Lewis of Ottawa, and Janice Pearson and her husband Bill of Dover Township. Cherished grandmother of Beth Debicki and her husband Chris of Chatham, Meredith Buckrell and her husband Greg of London, and Andrew Pearson of Thunder Bay. Dear sister of Mary Moir of Chatham, and the late Jessie Down and Ida Forsyth. Fondly remembered by her brother-in-law George Down of Chatham. Gloria was a long time member of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church of Mitchell’s Bay. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Monday, February 2, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Alan Knight of Holy Trinity Anglican Church officiating. Interment McVicar Cemetery, Chatham Township. Memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Society:Chatham-Kent appreciated.
