Obituary of Anh Ly

LY: Dung Anh With great sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Dung Anh Ly on Friday, February 6, 2009 at Windsor Metropolitan Hospital, at the age of 61. Devoted husband of Du Vo Ly for 41 years. He is survived by his wife and their children Huy (Mike) and his wife Lien Ly, Hoang (Wayne) and his wife Thuy Ly, and Quyen and her husband Yum Nguyen. Also survived by his grandchildren Nathan, Kyle, Otis, and Angelina. Dung Anh will be greatly missed by all his siblings Ngan Ly of Chatham, Tuan Anh Ly, Thi Thuy Hoa Ly, Thi Anh Xuan Ly, and Thy Ngoc My Ly, all in Vietnam, as well as his numerous nieces and nephews. Dung Anh immigrated from Vietnam to Canada in 1980. He was a man who was determined to ensure that his children would enjoy a better life than he had, and he achieved that goal before passing. His close friends will miss him dearly, and his memory will forever live in their hearts. The Ly Family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff on the 6th Floor-Medicine on Windsor Metropolitan Hospital. A special thanks to a very special nurse Alex, who provided great kindness, care and support to us during this difficult time. Visitation will be held McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday 3:00-5:00 p.m. and again on Monday 7:00-9:00 p.m. Family will gather at the Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday February 10, 2009 for procession to Maple Leaf Cemetery for interment.
