Obituary of Denise Moffat

MOFFAT: Denise Marie (nee Fox) After a courageous battle with secondary pulmonary hypertension, Denise Moffat was called to victory with Jesus, early on Sunday morning, February 8, 2009, at the age of 39. Denise is survived by her devoted husband Andrew, her loving daughter Rebekah Coll, and her admiring step-children Richard, Elizabeth, and Daniel. Also survived by her parents Barbara Longbottom (Donald) and Garnet Fox (Donna). Denise also leaves her brothers and sisters Ron Fox (Kim), Kevin Fox (Carla), Lisa Couture (Rick Duquette), Derek Fox (Danielle), Tammy Raine (Brian Nicholson), and brothers in-law Stephen Moffat (Claire), and Charles Moffat (Heather), along with many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Fox, Broad, and Moffat families. Denise was also a loving foster mom to many children over the last few years.She lived her life according to Psalm 27. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday & Wednesday, February 10 & 11, 2009. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. from Praise Fellowship Church, 165 Park Avenue East, Chatham, with Pastor Michael Koppes and Pastor Chuck Butler officiating. Interment at Blackburn Cemetery, Dresden. Denise’s family have requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to an Educational Trust Fund for Rebekah Coll.
