Obituary of Richard Burdon-Murphy

BURDON-MURPHY: Rev. Richard A resident of Chatham, Rev. Richard Burdon-Murphy died on Friday February 13, 2009 at the age of 57. Born in Vancouver, son of the late Desmond & Isabelle Burdon-Murphy. Beloved husband of Irene (Ruegg) Burdon-Murphy, and dear father of Sarah Miller of Alberta. Special uncle of Barbara & Mike Ramsdale of Thamesville, and their son Nicholas; Tammy McKay & B.J. Martin of Niagara Falls, and their son Chase. Brother-in-law of Eileen Katool (Sid Tripp) of Cayuga, Audrey Kayfish of Lethbridge, Alberta, and Ruth Campbell (Bill) of Thamesville. Richard will be fondly remembered by his many friends in the Sertoma Club of Thamesville, and his extended family in Western Canada. Richard was involved with the Anglican Church of Canada for many years. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church, 80 Wellington Street West, Chatham on Wednesday February 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Paul Millward officiating. Cremation with interment in Christ Church Memorial Gardens at a later date.
