Snobelen; Charles M. A resident of Blenheim and formerly of Harwich Township, Charles Snobelen passed away at his residence on Thursday, February 19, 2009. Born in Harwich Township son of the late E. Stanley and Ella (Broadbent) Snobelen. Beloved husband of Jean (McMillan) Snobelen. Dearest father of Pat Pegg and husband Peter of Wiarton and Perry Snobelen of Ft. Myers, Florida. Predeceased by infant daughter Susan Marie (1949) Proud grandfather of Brian Pegg and wife Sara of Vancouver, B.C., and Robin Pegg of Squamish, B.C. Great grandfather of Angus Pegg. Brother of the late Margaret and Tom Hebblethwaite. Brother-in-law of the late Gordon and Verna McMillan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Charles was a member of the Blenheim United Church and a previous member of the Fourth Line United Church. Charter member of Blenheim Curling Club, former member of Blenheim Kinsman and K40 Club. He was also a member of the Blenheim and Community Senior’s Drop In Centre. A Funeral Service will be held at the Blenheim United Church on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bruce Cook officiating. Family will receive friends following the service. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Donations to Blenheim United Church or charity of choice would be appreciated.
