Plaunt: Donald Xavier A resident of Chatham, Donald Plaunt passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Sydenham Campus on Friday, February 27, 2009 at the age of 82. Born in Admaston Twsp. on July 25, 1926 to Harvey and Mary (Mac Laughlin) Plaunt. Loving husband of 49 years to Della L. (Ames) Plaunt. Dear father to Patricia Bovisz and her husband Emil of Calgary, Richard Plaunt and his wife Frances of Chatham, Bonnie Howard and her husband Reg of St. Thomas. Proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his son Randy Plaunt (2000) and his daughter Judy Lucyk (1986). Survived by his brother Dr. Darrel H. Plaunt and his wife Christine of Ottawa. A Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham, on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Roger Carter officiating . Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to honour Donald’s life can be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses or the Canadian Cancer Society and would be appreciated by the family.
